Write to this Prompt: Remember your child (or loved one's) true essence.

My therapist said it was a Mom’s job to remember their kids’ true essence, the one we saw when they were little and uninhibited so when they get wonky and have no idea who the hell they are, we can remember for them.

Both of my kids are pretty hilarious, maybe on the dry end of the scale. As a kid, our oldest was really bold and would constantly charge into situations in ways that made me anxious.

I’m supposed to practice noticing good things, but they seem so bland in comparison to the bad stuff, not even the self-manufactured and/or imaginary bad stuff. The Real Life yahoo fake news bad stuff.

What’s one good thing about this summer? I get to go to Las Vegas this month for work. It’s my first ever work trip. Even though Las Vegas is hotter than the sun, it’s cool to get to go somewhere by myself for the first time. And for free! Wow, look at me being so positive.
