Biofeedback

I met this professor at a career fair for work who does biofeedback and it’s really weird and interesting. And it's all about my favorite subject -me!

You can see the weird reflexes your body does when it is in a hyper-aroused state. That state sounds much more fun than it is. Then, you use your mind to try to calm the reflexes and you can watch your levels of excitatory neurotransmitters like go down. He was explaining how an over-stressed nervous system can lead to discoordination and pain. This explains why my legs hurt so bad when trying to stand still for five minutes during Chi Gong. Why it is painful to move that slowly.


It's actually not as exciting now that I'm writing about it, but I am going to keep trying things until I figure out what can make me feel less tired and old-ladyish.
