I just finished listening to Elizabeth Gilbert's Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear. It is a kind of blue print for making big changes in your life, with sections entitled Courage, Enchantment, Permission, Persistence, Trust, and Divinity. I have to say that I enjoyed listening to it. Audible.com has become my regular bedfellow it seems.
But I did swing back and forth between being inspired, jealous, excited about what could be, and fearful that it was too late for me. I try to remind myself that the most important part is to keep writing. Like Gilbert says, "The work wants to be made, and it wants to be made through you."
